Mission & vision
Our vision
and mission
Through STEM, we inspire the young people of today to become the change makers of tomorrow.
For over 60 years, we’ve been creating hands-on engineering experiences that spark curiosity and build confidence. We believe every young person deserves the chance to discover their potential in science, technology, engineering, and maths – regardless of their background.
From our prestigious Arkwright Engineering Scholarships to innovative school programmes, we’re building pathways that transform lives and shape futures in engineering careers.
Our programme journey
For future
engineers
ages 8 -18
Every young person’s STEM journey is unique. That’s why we’ve designed engineering courses and programmes that grow with them, from first sparks of curiosity to confident next steps into STEM careers.
Whether they’re building robots at 8, coding solutions at 12, or designing the future at 16, we’re here to support every stage of their adventure in engineering and technology.

How can you support us
Supporting
Smallpeice
We fuel young people’s passion for STEM through hands-on experiences that spark curiosity and build futures. At The Smallpeice Trust, we deliver school programmes, engineering courses and Arkwright Engineering Scholarships that turn “what if?” into “why not?” – because every young person deserves that lightbulb moment, regardless of their postcode.
For over 60 years, we’ve been the launchpad for future engineers and innovators. With 8,000+ scholarships awarded and 60,000 students reached annually, we’re creating pathways from primary school visits to prestigious sixth-form scholarships. But we can’t do it alone – your support helps us reach more young people, fund life-changing scholarships, and ensure STEM opportunities are available to everyone. Ready to spark the next generation of changemakers?
