Scholarships are go!

Scholarships are go!

As you may or may not know, an Arkwright Engineering Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship of its type in the UK. It was created to inspire and nurture school-age students to be the country’s future leaders of the Engineering Profession.

The Scholarships are awarded to high-calibre 16-year-old students through a rigorous selection process and support students through the two years of their A-levels, Scottish Advanced Highers or equivalent qualification.

Each of our amazing scholars is sponsored by a commercial company, trade association, university, professional institution, armed service, government organisation, worshipful company, charitable trust or personal donor. They have access to enrichment activities, plus a £600 financial reward. Not too shabby! Other benefits can include day visits, work experience, a personal mentor, support for your curriculum project and careers materials.

On top of this, the scholar schools receive £400 for each Scholarship awarded to students, as well as the kudos of educating an Arkwright scholar!

The application process is open for a short window before we close to begin processing and preparing for the next stages. You have until mid-January to submit, in readiness for the exam in February so you best get your skates on if you still want to apply! We look forward to receiving your applications!
