Flying High: Maya's Experience on the Aerospace Engineering Course

We recently caught up with Maya, one of our students who participated in the Aerospace Engineering (non-residential) in May this year. She was eager to share her experience and insights into the course. The Smallpeice Trust's Aerospace Engineering course is a unique opportunity for young people to explore the exciting world of aviation and engineering. The course is designed to provide students with an insight into modern aircraft design and help them develop their ambitions in the field.

"I loved the flight simulator. It was so cool to experience what it's like to be a pilot," Maya shared. "The lectures were also really informative. I learned a lot about the different paths you can take in engineering."

One of the most inspiring aspects of the course for Maya was hearing from industry professionals. "I loved listening to stories from people who are passionate about their engineering roles," they said. "It really motivated me to pursue a career in this field."

After completing the course, Maya is even more determined to become an aerospace engineer. "I already wanted to be an aerospace engineer before, but now I'm even more interested and informed," they explained. "I learned about the different opportunities that exist within the industry, and it's really exciting."

Maya would highly recommend the course to other young people interested in engineering. "It's a great way to learn about the field and see if it's something you're passionate about," they said. "It's also a lot of fun!"

The Smallpeice Trust's course offers a unique blend of academic learning and practical experience, providing students with the tools and inspiration they need to achieve their goals. By combining academic learning with practical experience, the Aerospace Engineering provides a solid foundation for future success in this exciting field.
