Embark on an exciting journey into discovery with this immersive educational course. Delivered and developed by The Smallpeice Trust and in partnership with IMI Truflo Marine, this course invites students aged 12-14 to envision the world of tomorrow alongside likeminded peers who all share a love for STEM!
During the course, students will explore three engineering principles that they could study at university including:
Energy: Students will explore the growing importance of hydrogen energy through a hands-on project. They'll investigate the function of hydrogen fuel cells and apply their knowledge to design and construct a working hydrogen-powered car.
Robotics & Programming: Students in the Robotics and Programming module will learn to program LEGO® SPIKE™ Prime robots using a block-based application on iPads. This module focuses on developing practical programming skills and applying them to control robotic systems.
Civil: Students will take part in a design challenge, where they will design and build a bridge, testing them for their stability. This module focuses on materials and structural integrity.
If you have previously attended an Engineering Experience course you may have already completed some of the modules above, please evaluate whether this program offers a suitable learning experience. If you are unsure, please contact info@smallpeicetrust.org.uk.
