Provide a unique experience for your Secondary School students by signing up for one of our STEM Sessions – designed to fuel their passion for science, technology, engineering and maths and get them thinking about a career in engineering.
Sessions run at 09:15, 10:15, 11:15, and 14:15 Schools are welcome to join as many sessions as they want to, and to join whichever sessions they prefer. Plus, multiple classes can join together.
This virtual event is fully funded by The Smallpeice Trust and has been specially designed to appeal and engage - Years 8 and 9 across England and Wales. S2 and S3 across Scotland and Years 9 and 10 across Northern Ireland.

Our STEM Session activities are virtual interactive workshops hosted by a Smallpeice Trust educator and designed to complement the national curriculum. For schools across the UK, this will help you to meet your GATSBY benchmarks. All of our STEM activities encourage young people to consider the possibilities of a career in engineering and help them to build life and leadership skills in line with the Skills Builder partnership.

Your students will be tasked to work in small teams to complete a hands-on engineering project to build a Solar Tower.
All materials for this challenge can be easily sourced, as we’ll be using everyday items, readily available. Schools will be provided with a kit list.
