Ignite your potential and learn more about the exciting world of engineering. Developed by The Smallpeice Trust, this course invites students aged 12-14 to imagine the world of tomorrow in the company of other likeminded students who share similar interests.
During the course, students will learn about the following:
Cyber Security - learn about the basic principles of cyphers, encryption and cyber safety. Through fun puzzles and videos, students will discover the importance of strong passwords, online research, and privacy.
Electrical Engineering - students will design and build a lunar rover, learning about solar power and super capacitors. After construction, students test their rover in various conditions to optimise its performance.
Space Engineering - students will program an online rover for a mineral-collecting mission on an alien planet. Using a block-based app, they will learn to control the rover's movements and sensors and progress through a series of challenges.
If you have previously attended an Engineering Experience course you may have already completed some of the modules above, please evaluate whether this program offers a suitable learning experience. If you are unsure, please contact info@smallpeicetrust.org.uk
