We’ve partnered with Thales to provide 5 schools with an opportunity to take part in the Thales Primary Glider Challenge, which will be live-streamed on the 22 June 2022.
Up to 45 Year 4-6 students from each school will work in teams to design and build three gliders - each being unique in their form, shape, and materials.
Building teamwork, listening, and problem-solving skills, students will learn how to test these gliders, seeing and learning how different factors such as balance, wing shape, and other forces act together to impact flight success.
When
22 Jun - 22 Jun 2022

What
This is a great opportunity for your Year 4-6 students to become aerospace engineers for the morning!
We will supply each school with all the equipment and materials required for the project for up to 45 students from each school, guiding them through the engineering cycle of planning, creating, testing, and improving via a YouTube Live link.
How
This event has the following benefits
Learn what an aerospace engineer does
Build and test gliders
Learn about wing shape, balance, and forces
Improve teamwork, listening, and problem-solving skills
