SMALLPEICE TRUST ALUMNA APPOINTED PROFESSOR AT TEDI LONDON
We were so delighted this Monday when we received an email from Professor Laurie Rowe, who wanted to share her gratitude about The Smallpeice Trust’s Insight course she attended and how it has been instrumental in her career in engineering and medical technology.
In Laurie’s own words, her pathway into engineering was “unconventional”, and started with studying Art & Design, English Language and Design Technology for her GCSEs and A-Levels. It wasn’t until Laurie attended one of our courses to find out about Industrial Design and Engineering that she began to find a passion for engineering, which led to her studying a BSc in Engineering Design & Innovation at Sheffield Hallam University. Laurie graduated with a first-class degree and has just been appointed Professor at TEDI London.
Professor Rowe wanted to share her good news and praise The Smallpeice Trust’s role in helping her break into the industry.

For over twenty years, Laurie has proved herself in engineering and worked her way up to become an acclaimed and credited industry member.
