Do you know someone, aged 12-14, female and passionate about all things STEM? Unlock her potential this summer at our Engineering Experience residential course!
This three-day course, run by the The Smallpeice Trust, invites 12 to 14-year-old female students to embark on an exciting journey at one of the UK's leading universities – University of Warwick!
Students will have the unique opportunity to connect with likeminded peers in a vibrant learning environment, develop and test their own products, plus gain invaluable insights into life as an engineer.
During the course, students will learn the about the following:
Energy: Students will learn about the importance of clean energy sources like hydrogen. They'll investigate how hydrogen fuel cells work and design a hydrogen car, making a real-world impact on the environment
Electrical Engineering: Students collaborate to build their very own FM radio in this engaging module. They'll learn essential electronics skills like soldering and experience the thrill of creating something from scratch as a team!
Robotics & Programming: Students will learn to code and bring robots to life! Using iPads and the awesome LEGO® SPIKE™ Prime, they'll master programming and build incredible creations.

What
This immersive, hands-on experience is designed to inspire young female students by combining real-world engineering projects, essential skill development, and a taste of university life.
Students will tackle exciting challenges led by our team of STEM Engagement Specialists, building problem-solving, teamwork, and technical skills through interactive workshops and collaborative projects.
Staying on campus, they’ll also enjoy a series of social activities and experience life away from home in a fun, supportive environment.
How
This course will feature the following:
Designing and building projects and developing coding skills
Putting designs to the test in several challenges
Analysing data and finding ways to improve projects
Tackling budgets and seeing how decisions affect finances
Listening to engineers talk about the world of engineering
Exploring a range of career paths that could take young people around the world
